I talked to Mark Hyde about the hydro clutch, since it the same as what is on the ktm bikes. He said that he has never had a problem with it and has never heard of a problem other than the cable getting a hole in it and leaking the fluid out (easy fix buy a steel braided line). Then I asked him on changing the fluid and what kind to use. He said he has never changed the fluid unless replacing the line with a steel braided one. If you do change it use ATF automatic tranny fluid. These are Mark's comments that he told me and for anyone who doesn't know Mark, he is the East coast sales rep. for ktm, the camera guy on a ktm at the GNCC's, co host of last year televised GNCC race series, former pro GNCC racer, Rodney Smith's mechanic for a couple of years, this list could go on for a while. My point is he is a great rider and a heck of a mechanic so I trust him on this. Let me know if anyone else has talked to a ktm rider and/or mechanic about these clutchs.
