Pro design kill switch
#1
I have one and I am curious if this will work on the cannondale with the fuel injection. Also would you hook it up a different way than stated in their instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it will work and yes you have to hook it up a different way. Find and follow the 3 wires (yellow, green, & purple) that go from the key switch. Track them down to a bullet connection and the purple one and plug the kill switch into it. One end will need to be a female end and the other a male for this to work. Bullet connector size is .156". If this doesn't work try plugging into the green one. I know the yellow is for the light but can't remember which one may factory cannondale switch plugged into (purple or green).
By the way cannondale has the wiring diagram on their site.

Ok now I am confused does this mean it won't work or will it? I have not had the time to sit and play with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially fromn guys with these switches installed already.

My dealer told me it would work....but when I hooked it up, I kept blowing fuses. A guy I know, hooked his up and he was also blowing fuses, and burnt up his coil. So I'm thinking of just going with the Moto/Blaze style for the $50.
I guess the Cannondale requires the switch to work the opposite way from the way the Pro Design is made. "open circut"(clip on) should interupt the flow, killing the engine. And "closed circut"(clip off) should keep the circut flowing and the engine running. So grounding out the electronic system, doesn't seem to be the best way to do it. I don't want to risk frying the computer...

<< I installed the Pro design switch on my Cannibal. After realizing Cannondale is opposite of my Honda, I spliced the wire leading into the coil and it works fine.

Crashed,
Can you give us a detailed description of how you did it? The long wire connected to.....the short wire connected to.... and where exactly at you spliced into the coil at.

Just cleared this up with Knowsalot. It will not work with the MCU 1000 computer. He also called Kyle to get the second opinion. So I ordered the Moto/Blaze tether switch. Knowsalot will have them in stock next week, give him a call to order one.
