East Coast ATV builds lots of these. Anybody built a quad w/ the YZF or CRF motor and raced one. I'm just curious to the power vs Mr Dale. I'm not talking a YZF or CRF that had its motor stripped down and all kinds on machineing and porting done to it. Just a stock motor put into a quad chassis. Do they vibrate also???

I'm sure Yodaddy and myself will meet up in Aledo, TX to see how they measure up soon. 14mins needs to throw another quad bash. CRF quad is almost ready.

I personally have not but Johnny Hale just built a 426 Laeger chassis quad and he never could get comfortable with it. He got tired of his R motor's seizing up in the national events and that is the reason why he went with the 4 stroke 426. He actually even used the same frame he had his 265 motor in, just had it fabricated enough to fit the 426 into. But he says he's worked out the radiator problem so now he's going to be selling the 426 powered quad.

As far as vibrating, he never mentioned that as being a problem. The dyno numbers I saw on his 426 was 52 so I would expect it to be a little bit quicker than the C'dale's. The only problem with using a 426 is if you want a new motor, you got to buy the bike just to get the motor. Yamaha doesn't sell crate motors, at least they didn't a few months ago. I've heard you can get the Honda 450 as a crate motor but I do not know the lead time on getting one.

Rodsquad- How much longer before that fire-breather is ready to run? Some people do not stay married as long as that quad has taken to build. I look forward to testing it out for you!

Sandgod- for a little more than a moto, you can built a killer custom quad. All NEW parts including the motor. I think a lot of people building custom quads inflate the $$$$$ that they tell people. My next quad will be custom built. It does not take long to pass 10k on a factory quad to get it to your liking.

I'm not interested in one of these quads. I was just curious if anybody else has compared one to a Dale...My brother Buddah might buy one though...

14mins, LS Racing is red labeling A-arms Mon. 29th. That's the last thing needed to get it rolling. Axis arrived last week. I can't beleive LS took 5 mos. to complete one of their masterpieces. This is one of their first long travel LS400EX chassis a-arms. They've mastered the 250r, this one is finally almost ready.

Rod- get it running, and i will drive down. We are headed to atoka the 9th and 10th.

727banshee- From what i have seen and know about that quad. It is KILLER. I want one. NO Cannon will run with it. No raptor will run with it. No Suzuki will run with it. You get the idea. For a little more than a moto you can have a reliable killer quad. I want one but with a much larger engine

We have both the YZF and C-dale. In expert MX the c-dale doesn't have enough power compared to the YZF. The motor in our YZF has been flawless. As soon as the new Yamaha WR450 comes in we will be building a quad around that.
