Thanks everyone your help is very much appreciated. I do think I will shy away from the crf/yzf custom jobs. So it will be Cannondale or Gas Gas. The dealer will let me know on Gas Gas on a week. If any are coming to the west. If the answer is no then its a Cannondale.

Last questions:
Dual piston calipers?
Does Roll or Merrill build A-Arms for these?

Again thanks

Good to hear that you have made up your mind on a machine. Both will be awesome.
I know of a dealer in Colorado that will have them (eurodirt). The reason is becuase he was the orginal guy it talk to about the quad. As for other dealers check out my post that I just updated on the quad (if you haven't already).

Lets see my 400ex=$5700
CFR motor with all parts and wiring aprox $4200
Long travel front end aprox $2500
Nerf bars,pipe,axel,handlebars aprox $1000
Decent rims and tires $700
Frame reinforcement and custom motor mounts aprox $100
Ohlien or better quality rear shock aprox $800
Aprox $15000 total with Stock frame.

My speed converted moto $10,200 invested.

It dont look like building my stock ex is worth it.

I like how the Captain wants to make this great machine, but decides to get the cheap 400 front works shocks... is this only me or does he just make no sense?

Hey there now. Don't go dissing the Works cheaper grade shocks.

There are more guys out there on the local level running these more than anything else out there.

Up until I got the Cannondale, I ran those shocks for years on many different quads with no problems at all.

I laugh at the tracks all the time when some guy shows up with a set of front shocks that cost over a grand and still gets smoked in the jumps. Why?? Because he doesn't need them and could of been faster with shocks setup to his actual riding level.

Hey!! That means the Captain needs a set of shocks from a LT50 right??LOL

I just love when we go from the our local stuff to glamis and my buddys have to jet and I dont. I love just about every bike out there but I realy love my dragondale. It runs hard and it is (was) stock!!! Think of all the head acks with that "thing". I bought my dale 8,600 otd with some goodies and I was ridding that nite! go spend a month to build your "quad" and I will go ride. I am not bashing a crf quad or any quads beside Power Wheels, but come on. Most people on this board are not Pro, we just like to ride. I am 17 paid 4 my bike in cash with money I made, not moms money. The work that is getting done at Trinity is a gift for xmas and my birthday from my family. That would be a fun project if were you live has a long off time for ridding but in cali we ride all the time.

Pleases someone take your stock (i mean stock dont want him to heart his little brain) Cannondale to him and let him ride it. When he nails it and lands on his head it might knock some sence in to him!
Push you $10,000 CRF up to my lil sister's Go Ped and we will se who is boss.
He!! she can walk and bet you, because at $10,000 you will not even have a carb...well neather do I but that is a diff. stroy.
