Default My weekends race report... Nocona MX TQRA

Yesterday (Feb. 2) was Rnd 3 of the TQRA Winter Series at Nocona MX. I had first gate pick and I thought I had a decent holeshot until a guy on a KFX that was right in front of me decided it would be a good idea to grab all brakes and I slammed right into the back of him. After a 5 or 6 quad pile up in the first corner, someone on a Z400 knocked my fuel line off and my quad died right as I was leaving the face of the first table top. It endoed, I bailed (a lot like what Dana Creech did but I wasn't near as high as him), atleast this time the wreck wasn't my fault... it was just crappy luck. Some lady said, "Well your bike didn't quite make it but hey, atleast you down sided the jump right?" I got going and finished at the last lap and got 13th place (last) in the first moto. In the second moto, I had a really crappy gate position because I was on the left side of the gates, which was a terrible place to have to start due to the way the track is designed. So I just let everyone go to avoid another wreck. 2 or 3 people got hung up in the first and I went around them and then for the rest of the 4 lap race, I worked my way up to 5th place. My 13/5 finish got me 8th place overall. I didn't finish quite as good as I would have liked, but going from 13th to 5th in 4 laps in the second moto is pretty good, IMO, so I was very happy with how I rode. I'm still in 3rd place in the series, but it's a tie now, so I gotta go to Athens MX and see what I can do there.

Just thought I would let you guys know about how my race went.

There is always another race next week , keep the good work and the proud to be a C-dale owner, the best bike ever made.

I finished 2nd on the firts half and 3rd on the second half, so I got a 2nd overall (I was making a lots of mistakes, I have some problems with my shoulder), there were like 10 bikes. The first place was captured by a Predator.

I dominated (in the 2 halfs) like 3/4 of the race laps, but the pain didn't let me do a better job. So lets be prepared for the next race.

Way to come back mxdale!!!!!!!

I have been running the last 4 SRMA searies races and placed fourth place in all off them.I am verry happy with that considering all the compition that has been showing up.I belive there is a total of 30 entryes now,and there are quite a few that are verry fast.2 of them would probley give MrP a run for his money. The last 2 races I stayed pretty close to 1st and 2nd and was right on 3rd places @$$.There are 3 races left and I hope to get a top 5 over all.Right now I got a pretty comfortable 4th place standings. It would be closer if ATVMAN(Josh)didnt have so much bad luck!!!!

BTW MRP,If you reed this you need to come run Ryan hes getting pretty cocky. He won all four and Chris and Mike W. has been going back and fourth with 2nd and 3rd.Them two almost got into a fist fight this weekend.Mike kept on running into Chris.I beat Chris last week and was stoked. He was on my @$$ though.

Ya, I"m really happy with how I rode. Unfortunately that first moto didn't go to well, but that was just crap luck. I think I could have gotten 4th place in the second moto if I just had one more lap, but oh well. If I wouldn't have gotten hung up in the first moto, I"m sure I could have come away with 2nd place. I'll have to have a good finish to get 2nd overall for the series... I'll have to get 9 points more than the guy thats in 2nd right now... so I think I'll end up w/ 3rd as long as I ride good and smart. I've been to Athens once and I was riding pretty decent considering my tires weren't good for the terrain. But I think I"m getting the hang of this whole riding smart thing . Last season I pushed myself so hard that I was just slowing myself down because of the mistakes I kept on making. So far this season, I'm riding a LOT smoother, and I think I'll be a lot faster pretty soon. I am finding that my stock axle is holding me back though... hopefully I'll get a Lonestar sometime. That'll help me out A LOT!

josh ran fourth the first moto then stalled out of the gat the second. the moto didnt want to start and the rest of te field had made a half a lap before he got it stsrted. he rode his a$$ off and finidhed 7th ( i think ) . he caught up with the pack and passed 7 or 8 quads.

mike, josh did end up with a fifth overall yesterday. mike dude you know yur riding a ticking time bomb.
oh and some idiot protested josh because of his age but got no where since our tracks dont run ama rules. pretty bad when you got to protest saying someone is not old enough to ride their quad. he's just jealous because he suxxxxxx.

Mark,I hit the snooz on the time bomb. You remember the noise that I heard coming from my bike.Guss what it was..............one of them screws backed out and was grinding on the flywheel.I emptyed the trany oil today and had metal shavings all in it.I pulled it all down and saw it holding on by a thread. It filed the head right off the screw.Thank goodness I checked it.I got me a new one from the hardware store( I can't belive they stocked them)and put it back in with red lock tight. While I was in there I did all but one that I could not get to.So for all the people that havent had no problems with the screws coming loose in the motor YET.You better check them.I been racing mine for a year and thought it wont happen to me guss what..........It will.

O yea Blane is a waaaaababy.I can't beleave he tryed to protest Josh.

The weather report for this coming weeking calls for RAIN.I hope it don't screw things up for the race.
