Default ATV'ers patrolling the AZ/Mexican border?

A few of you may have heard about the MinuteMan Volunteers getting ready to patrol a portion of the AZ border April 1st thru May 1st. That got me thinking, why not combine patrolling the border and having some fun riding in AZ? Since federal, state, and local governments are putting more and more land off limits to ATVs, why not ride where we can do our country some good and have a good time doing it? Government estimates it catches 1.1 million illegals per year and realistic estimates put around 3 million illegals crossing the border each year. Lord knows just who they are and what they plan doing here. With our border patrol outnumbered, and overloaded maybe a couple hundred patriotic ATV'ers could lend a hand. Just curious if anyone else has thought about this?

Not sure what it would help. You would have to be extremely stealthy. They would just hear you coming and hide! The bike might get you out to an observation post, but I don't see much use beyond that.

Generally they are Mexican nationals and other Central and South American countries. Beyond what the current Administration would like you to believe, terrorists are NOT using the US-Mexico border to smuggle in <insert terrifying WMD>. I would pretty much most illegal crossing the border are coming to work (usually low paying ag jobs) so they can send the money back to their families in their home country. Many also intend to RETURN home. Of course there are some who are trying immigrate to the US as well.

The thought scares me. Most people who would try to patrol would probably try to do it on a loud sport bike that could be heard a mile away. At that point the illegals hide and quite possibly their coyote will leave them for dead. If you're lucky, you won't be shot at. A terrorist coming across the border would most likely be armed and WELL trained in combat (both small arms and hand to hand). You probably wouldn't stand a chance in that situation.

The dust kicked up from riding would provide great camoflauge as well.
