What is really going on in Michigan

As for the side by sides; A dealer in Mecosta is getting them approved street legal by adding the material needed to make it classified as a dune buggy. License plate and all.
more expanded riding area's now because with a street license they can take to the forest roads.
Excellent info!
Now BB has no excuse to ride. But I'm sure he will find something else to **** and moan about.

Heatseeker,
This dealer you speak of cannot possibly be making RUV's street legal in Michigan.
Let me rephrase that. Is this dealer changing the rear differential? Under Michigan law you cannot make a vehicle road legal with a locked rear differential.
Also he would have to have them titled as an "Assembled" vehicle to have a title that is accepted by the DMV for street use.

Wow, I did not waste my time even trying to read this whole thread. But the widening of trails in MI caught my eye. People complain enough already that our trails are not maintained to spec. Making all the 50" trails to 60" would be very costly for one. I strongly oppose wider trails and I sent many emails to Lansing to voice my opinion on the matter. More 72" routes are in the works!
