will an atv float?

Why would you want to float one upside down anyway? The wheels go on the bottom :-p We had a moto4 that used to float but it was a fairly light bike, the 500AC im not so sure. The back end might stay up but i think the front will head for bottom.,

My sons 125 Breeze will float. the first time he crossed a creek he about floated off until I told him to cut his wheels and give it gas .Now he loves to do it.

if it goes under without a snorkel you will have to drain the air box, pull the spark plugs to get the water out of the cylenders and drain the carbrator. anytime you do a deep water crossing you need to drain all the fluid that evening. i have seen hundreds of atvs float deep water crossings around here with no problem. i have seen a few that didn't change out their fluids afterwards and ended up with busted differentials after the water froze in the case. if your nor willing to float your atv around here then you stay at the trailer because most of the slueghs around here are waist deep or deeper. one thing to remember when crossing if stay light on the throttle because if you gas it to much the front will dive on you. if you want to know how to float an atv come to east texas and we can teach you.
