Twig Farmer, Lets not make this personal ok. I might not agree with what you have to say but I believe you have the right to say it. And say it knowing that it will be open to critizism.

Don't forget the parents that thought it would be great fun to have there children particpate in such events. They do so knowing there is a risk (chance) that something could happen. If that risks (chance) turns bad who is really at fault. To uses the Ronald McDonald example, it might say you have to be this tall, but it also says do so at your own risk.

I thought someone might catch that. When I say "Don't forget the parents that thought it would be great fun to have there children particpate in such events." I am being sarcastic. I guess I should have simply said the parents are as much to blame as anyone else.

I do not have an internet account at/through/from work. We have a crude email system that is only for dept members (we can't even email other county offices) Internet access is viewed as security risk and could possibly lead to a virus infecting the server that contains all files for the sheriff and DA.

nycap.rr.com is a Road Runner cable account (very very fast!) nycap means New York Capital. rr means Road Runner.

Yes I am a police dispatcher, but I also deal with Fire, EMS, and many local government agencies.

Tree Farmer,
I have already apologized for what I have done to you in the past. I am trying to move on. What are you trying to do? Be little me, I expect it but will deal with it. Hate me, I have apologized there is nothing more I can do. Forgive me, Am I really the reason you harbor such hostility towards me?

Give me chance.

Will the real ryant/TheMole please rise? You "apologize" in this Forum, while simultaneously defaming me by name in another.

But hate you? Don't flatter yourself.

Folks,

This "WAS" a good thread.

T R U C E

Let's get back to the subject material.

Tree Farmer......I expected more of you. I have been reading many posts for quite some time on this site and I do find yours both interesting and informative. Don't let me/us down. Sometimes, the one who saves faces is the one who says nothing.

Question: Would the two of you be venting at each other in such a way had you met on a trail with your two quads?

Answer: Hell no! You would both be having a blast and happy you found a riding partner. That’s all we are here, riding partners, it is just a shame my keyboard does not have a set of handlebars, wheels, and shocks.

According to my friend who is a law school professor (and we've participated in other events involving bodiy risk), most liability waivers are no defense against gross negligence.

They may scare off the small nuisance stuff, but anything major happens .. you're screwed.
