I like this forum because it seems to be cleaner and more mature than some of the others I look at. Most folks are extremely helpful also. I hope the **** and drug references will not pollute this site like many of the others.

 

I dont know about other forum members, but I only feel that complaining to the moderators and management of the site is warrented by the most extreme of circumstances. Only when I have a serious issue with something do I feelt he need to report it. Otherwise I try to tolerate it in the spirit of harmony. I would think most other members are the same way, they dont want to rock the boat. Besides, I dont feel that I really have the right to tell others that thier conduct is right or wrong, as I am not a moderator of the site. Therefore I try to avoid the vigilante spirit of doing moderation on my own. Just a thought on the complaint situation.

there is a statement of policy everyone must agree to to register.
that should tell you what kind of site you are joining.

mods jobs are to follow the rules and policies set down by the administrator. it's in writing, jeez!
if it's outside the rules, delete it - simple. I can say this cuz I'm a mod on a different forum, much smaller, but very carefully scrutinized.
one happy customer tells another, one unhappy customer tells ten others.
this is too easy to solve. more mods or a general message reminding members of the rules. a policy reminder.
you have a real monster here to moderate - i cant believe every thread is checked- it would take quite a crew.

I grew up here and I've seen it change. some good, some ... better.
let's see how it goes - my guess is that this thread will be a great motivator.
if anyone can do it dbeck can. he put up with me, he can handle anyone.
need more mods? I have experience now.

 

Weedman, I, for one, think it good of you to offer to remove the post which others have expressed concern about. I admire a person who can accept responsibility and listen to other opinions so well. Thanks for that.

Getting a little off the ball aren't we here gentlemen? This thread is not about getting rid of opposing opinions, but rather limiting the illegal content of this site. If you got rid of everyone on this site that didnt agree with you, only one person would be left. This thread has nothing to do with national politics, there are already too many of those floating around here. Go to one of those if you wish to discuss presidential candidates and elections.
