Default Riding with a USFS spark arrestor????

Unfortunately, the article said, he started the fire to stay warm, not as a smoke signa Which I don't understandAnd, the cigarettes didn't help at all either He plead "no contest" because no good argument would of helped him. Therefore, by law, he's found guilty automatically. Had he known, what to do when he got lost, he might of thought things through a little better(you think) I like, how they banned him from the forest for 5 years..

That is pretty scary RD, I have a spark arrester on every OHV I own. have always wondered if it was as necessary on a 2 stroke as a 4stroke, but never felt like finding out.
Yes, they are required also on 2 strokes

A lot of people don't know that glasspacks, Cherry bomb and any other straight through type of mufflers on your truck are illegal in the forest.
Even if run behind a cat converter? I would think the cat would kill any and all sparks.
Doesn't matter. A converter won't stop a backfire from shooting flames out. A muffler with baffles will usually put out a backfire.

Thanks for the heads up Chris142, I was not aware of that. I have been running a glass pack behind twin cats on my 88 f 150 for about 7yrs now. Guess I'll look into a flow master next pay day. I know that I have never started a fire though, cant ever remember it back firing either.
