Default off-topic about my mower

i have a 6yr old craftsman riding mower from sears with extended warranty. about 2 months ago i hit a tree limb and busted the headlight out, i didn't think much of it because i dont mow in the dark anyways.

Just recently it's been blowing fuses, i replaced the yellow 20-amp fuse that's in it 3 times, but i ran out of 20 amps so i put a 30 amp in it. It worked fine for 2 days, then today it blew the 30 amp. When i opened the hood to put a new fuse, and try to check what was making them blow out, i saw what the problem was.

The old headlight socket from where i hit the tree had melted itself to the exhaust. i pried it off, but now when i put a new fuse in it doesn't work.

what should i tell the warranty people when i call them? I assume this isn't under warranty?

Yeah, I don't think running into trees is covered under warranty. Can't be much to fix (technically). But I'm sure they'd charge you a nice chunk of change to do it.

If you put a 30A in where a 20A should have been, you could have a melted wire somewhere.

They came out yesterday

The guy ordered a new electric clutch (I didn't even know it had an electric clutch?), a new switch that engages the blades, he installed a new key switch.

But he still doesn't know what's wrong with it, they're coming back out when the parts come in...
