$680 for insurance on your ATV, even after taking out a claim, I pay about $300 through Progressive, it went up $200 for 2 or 3 years then it goes back down to about $100. (I hit a tree in 5th gear tapped the somebody cut down and left part of it over the fire road, not much I could do, at least it was in the snow so the quad just spun around several times, I stayed on it too.)

Greetings,

As for insurance, I checked aroune and Allstate had the best deal -- about $120 a year. I had assumed that a company like that wouldn't be interested in such business, but they even helped me work through the various legal restrictions (I don't live in the same state where my quad is garaged, this gets complicated). But GEICO also had a good price, just couldn't get through the legal complexities.

Thanks,
Rod

I'VE HAD MY TRX250R STOLEN FROM ME, AND DOES IT TICK ME OFF. HAVING A DOG HELPS ALOT ACCORDING TO THE COPS. I THEN BOUGHT A DOG. NOT JUST ANY DOG, BUT A 75LB SOLID KICK A**ING RED NOSE PITBULL. THIS DOG IS A 44 MAGNUM OF THE DOGS. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO GET A DOG FOR COMPANIONSHIP AND SPECIALLY PROTECTION. AND IF YOU COULD HANDLE A PITBULL, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ONE.

MN 4MAN S,guess what?I dont know who told you that there is only 12 volts between a spark plug and it's contact wire, but their lying.Have you never heard of a coil,or CDI,or HEI,or???All these things really juice up voltage.A spark plug would never fire efficiantly with only 12 volts.BILL

I HAD MY QUAD STOLEN ONCE AND IT WAS TERRIBLE. I THINK IT WAS STOLEN BECAUSE OF A FEW ERRORS OF MINE SUCH AS KEEPING THE QUAD IN PLAN PUBLIC VIEW AND TALKING TO MY FRIENDS OF MY QUAD. SOME TIMES YOUR FRIENDS ARE YOUR WORST ENEMIES. I CURRENTLY OWN A QUAD AND PROTECT IT BY: KEEPING IT COVERED IN A SHED, CHAINED WITH BEAFY LOCKS, NOT TALKING OF MY QUAD ECCEPT TO MY FAMILY, AND I ALSO HAVE "DUKE" (A 75LB SOLID RED NOSE PITBULL). THESE DOGS ARE WELL RESPECTED, SPECIALLY, BY DELINCUENTS (THEAVES).

Wal-Mart has a alarm that is meant for the door to a house, but, would work on single or double garage doors. The unit mounts on one side and a magnet piece mounts on the other side. When armed if the two are seperated( or if the door is opened) then the alarm sounds and that puppy will wake you and the neighbors. It is on a delayed timer so that if you go in the room then you just punch in a 4 digit code and it is disarmed. Easy to install and cheap. Ya'll might look into something like this.
