Best ride in YEARS!
#1
I just can't help but tell everyone about the best ride I've had in years. I have been out of quadding since about 1988. I recently got a 99 Banshee that I love. I finally got to go out with a friend of mine our first official ride. As it turns out we met a couple of guys that were out on their machines. We only had about an hour but these guys were just like the guys I used to ride with back in the day. We did some woods and some straight aways and hills and jumps. At the end of the hour we waved goodbye and promised to meet again on the trails. Not only was it fun but we got to see some new trails. This is the first quad my friend has ever had and we both loved it. But I've left the best part for last...
In the group was a Banshee, a Trailblazer 250, a 400 EX and a 300 EX. We all agreed that it was great to have someone to ride with and it was awsome that there seemed to be more involved in the sport. Never ONCE did we even THINK Honda, Yamaha, Polaris SUCKS. We rode, had a good time and left as friends. This sort of attitude should be reflected in, not just most but ALL of these posts!
The sad fact is that it is not. There are far too many posts that have "Kawa this and Suzuki that yakityyakityyak".
There is an age old saying that says "... a house divided cannot stand..."
By lambasting our brothers and sisters of the sport by criticizing the machine they ride a person only serves to break down the unity that we have.
Hopefully I will meet some new guys and girls on the trails and continue to have better and better rides. In the mean time I wish the same to everyone else no matter what they ride.

I like your message. I too have been riding with a new group for the past 3 weeks. It is great! One Banshee, a Yamaha400 dirtbike, and me on my Scrambler400. We have a blast every time. Yes, we kid each other about our rides...but then again we often switch off and have a blast on the others ride! Thats what makes it so cool.
We do jumps...my Scrambler lacks a bit/lot there.
We do whoops...my Scrambler is getting better.
Mud...Scrambler but Banshee is fun to watch.
Speed...Banshee once it hits "shreeking" point,
but I keep up pretty well til then.
Fun... all of em!
Later Ride on!
