Are you sure it's the right shock?
Put in thicker oil, put a harder spring....but I don't know if it's really not normal that the frame touches the ground...does it really slow you down...do you feel like an anchor has just been dropped? If not, then it's normal...just a crappy machine..

Is it really your frame that is hitting the ground? If it is, you have a pretty big problem.
Are you sure you are not just bottoming the shocks out?

I'd say like Lurch, you're bottoming out...caus thinking about it, if the frame really smashed on the ground during landings, first you have a HUGE shock problem, second, you wouldn't be here to talk about it, you would have been stopped right into place, or your frame would already be broken.
Do you have much riding/mechanical experience? Just to know if we can be sure youmake the difference between your shocks bottoming and the frame digging the ground.
Again, if the frame hitted the ground, it would feel like a boat anchor has been dropped.
You're probably bottoming out, so put thicker oil in your shocks (sorry, you'll have to take them apart again)

for most quads this is normal..... thats why all the pros use skid plates becuz the frame hits all the time... its not that big of a deal.... mine does too on the bigger jumps....if its not slowin you down when you land don't worry about it

I used to have this problem i was always breaking air boxes off. then i got a rear works ultracroos shock now no more bottoming out. I would go aftermarket it makes a huge difference riding. it may cost alot more but well worth the money

1st- what age is the spring on that shock?[springs where out]
2nd- Was it rebuilt to your weight? How much do you weight? [with full gear]
What adjustment do you have the settings, set at?

The more information you provide, the more the problem can be solved. This can be fixed.

It feels like my peg hitting the ground its pretty noticable when it happens. My shock spring is probly the stock one, Im gusing I weigh 175 With all my gear and packs on. I didnt get the shock set up for my weight, it was rebuilt at a local motorcycle shop.It scared the crap out of me I thought i broke something off when it happend! It wasnt a very big jump I have pics of the jump, I think its just that I hit it fast and its kindofa dropoff thing not a double or anything. Its like a dip hard to explain.
