Can anyone tell me any company names where i may be able to find ATV insurance. I live in NJ, so that limits the companies that sell this type of insurance. Can anyone help?

I have Progresive for my quads, its alot cheeper than going though AAA, the big companys put you in a pool and see who picks you up, than you get to pay them for doing the foot work(almost doubled mine).

It seems that from what I have seen you will pretty much end up with basic liability only and be paying from 150-250 yr. Aint jersey great

I'm sorry to hear that your state doesn't offer cheap Insurance for you, but all is not lost. you can check out of state to see if you can cross borders on jurisdiction. some companys might be willing to go the extra mile and find you an insurer in you state( like a sublet) the markets open just keep looking.

I have spent some time today searching for ATV insurance in NJ for myself as well - tough to find a carrier who will write a policy in NJ . . . so far, from wht I have gathered, a company named Universal Underwriters was doing a lot of ATV policies in NJ but they have recently been aquired by a company called Foremost Insurance (800-262-0170). I have a quote from them for my two machines, and I went with heavy coverage b/c I am a firm believer in not skimping on insurance b/c anything can happen - to give you an idea, for my two machines, with the highest liability limits (250/500), UIM/UIN, Medical Payments and Comp and Collision ran about $1200/year . . . its a little steep and I am going to recheck some info from some other outfits that I obtained quotes from last summer - one thing I have noticed is a lot of these agencies will quote you a minimum limits policy, and if you have any assets at all, a minimal policy is relatively worthless if you cause any kind of damage or injury to someone, since your assets above the amount of your coverage are exposed

I would appreciate hearing your experience if you have had better luck than me

Well after searching for insurance, i found one company that gave me a quote. The company is called Program Managers (800-473-0111). The quote i got was for $305 a year for liability only and uninsured motorists, since NJ requires that also. So you might want to try them, maybe they will give you a lower premium.

This is who I use:

Rider Insurance Agency
120 Mountain Ave
po box 1319
Springfield NJ 07081
(973) 258-9500

They only sell Liability/uninsured/underinsured. I haven't found or heard of anyone selling full coverage in NJ that is affordable.

If anyone finds full coverage at a good rate let me know. I would like to have it.
