Just ordered some and will be installing this week. Wondered if anybody is here is using it and how they like it. Durability? Ease of use? Any info would be great...

Never heard of it. Where did you get it and do they have a website. Keep me posted on the durability of it.

Got it from Master Pull It's cool stuff, but just over a buck a foot in raw form. Has almost double the breaking strength of wire rope!

Even if you buy the ATV winch kit it still would be a deal at $72 and the rate is unreal for the same size as the wire cable.

It is much like nylon rope in suppleness. Any kinks or bends will come right out. It is really interesting stuff!

They also have a bunch of warnings on the rope, it makes it sound like it isn't as durable.

Here is what was on the site.

WARNING
THE IMPROPER USE OF ROPE IS DANGEROUS

........... Rope failure Can Cause Serious Injury or Death ... ......

* The USER is responsible to determine the suitability of a rope for
specific applications
* USE only rope in good condition, without cuts or pulled strands
* KNOW the Working Load limit (WLL) of your rope
* DO NOT exceed the WLL or shock load the rope
* DO NOT stand within the recoil (snapback) area
* DO NOT use over rough surfaces without chafe protection
* DO NOT bend around unprotected, sharp corners
* USE sheaves with a minimum of 8 times the rope diameter

........... .Fiber Rope will Fail if Worn, Damaged, Abused ..... .....
Overloaded, or Not Properly Maintained........ .........
................

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!

BEWARE OF WINCH LINES MADE WITH TECHNORA FIBER

#1: Technora fiber has the same caractic as Kevlar fiber, It can easily be
damage if the rope is flattened or crust, what of course will happen
when the rope is spooled on to the winch under a load and the
worst thing is you won’t notice or see the damage, it can loose
up to 80% of its strengths under these circumstances

#2: Technora is not good for sharp bends or sharp turns like using a
swing block again it can damage the rope and it looses it’s strength
#3: Technora fiber does not have a good UV resistance
#4: Do to above reasons Technora fiber is not recommended for any
winch application and is not recommended to use in the marine
industry by many rope manufactures
#5: Beware of imitations

So my recomendation would not be to use it!! After the warnings. I am going to stick with Aircraft cable.

MonteSS,

Have you read your winch booklet? YOu will fin that wire cable is actually more dangerous then synthetic rope. With wire cable, you have all of the problem with the synthetic rope, but also wire doesn't float, and wire had a considerable snapback (recoil upon breaking) problem. It will also rust.

Whenever you are winching for heavy hoisting or "recover" purposes you are creating a potentially dangerous situation. That is regardless of the use of cable or rope. I am on the fence right now which is LESS dangerous.

I am in need of replacing my cable right now. So I am interested in knowing more about the rope.

BigFrank, have you used your rope yet???

Fango, haven't used it to winch myself or anybody else out yet, but have pulled some things around. Seems to work fine for that. I haven't been riding as works is busy right now, but I eill get out maybe next weekend and try it out...
