depends on the fuel your running...carbs are designed to run specific applications. Example: You can put a 39A/S on an alk cr500 with a fuel pump. Its not going to do sh*t for fuel flow because the inner fuel circuits in the carbs are too small to feed your motor. Thats just one reason why you run different carbs for different applications

I was waiting for your response beech,c12 and I plan on running a 20 shot of N.O.S.next seasion. What do you think the best carb would be? I have a ftz booster carb makuni 39mm would that help,I could use the booster to adjust for hot cold weather and elevation instead of re-jeting.

The 39.5 PWK works great for my ported 94' Cr500.I don't know what kind of work you have done,so I can't say that your engine will like it.My portwork was done by Eric Gorr.Like they said it all depends on where you ride and what is done to the motor.

Id run bigger then a 39.9 on your 500. A easy carb to throw on there would be a 40.5 that esr sells. Its a decent carb that is setup half way decent.

I wouldnt run methanol through it though.

They make mikuni's in 44's that do not need to be bored. You can find them for sleds all day long for next to nothing
