I heard that the carb is a good investment, however it is really hard to get it jetted right???

A post-jetted carb seems likely more precise to me.

I myself would not trust a pre jetted carb...I like to know for sure that it is correct. All bikes are different in their own way....what works for one, may not work for another. SO I can't see how anyone could set up a carb without having it strapped to the bike it will be used on.

There's the chance that the pre jetted will be close to what it should be. If you go that route...I would run it for a few..then at least check the plug and see what it's reading.

Good luck!!

I have installed the 38PE carb on hondas and Mojaves and the so called pre jetting is never even close. Mine have always been way to rich and I dont live at high altitude or anything either. They put a note in the box with the carb that says it is jetted for a stock motor and may need rejetting for mods. One of these on a stock motor would be like pouring gas in the motor from a 50 gallon drum! They are hard to get jetted right but when you get there the top end power is real good. It will probably cost you some low end power though, as that has been the case with most of mine.
