Default 4-stroke's suck!!

2 strokes suck...that should get a response...lol

LOL. Banshee's and such have there place, same as any 4 stroke.

But if the rumor's are true, and the two strokes days are numbered, then it's about time some of you guys give it a rest and start looking into the future. I mean what are you going to do if the two strokes are phased out. Quit riding?

DrDune, you going to pismo for 4th? There wont be a 4-stroke even in contention. As of right now there will be 2 16mm cheetah banshee's, 1 16mm t-rex, 4 14mm cheetah/t-rex, 1 billet case/rotax cylindered matoon banshee, 2 crankensteins, and 1 triple t-rex. The 4-strokes will be lucky to play on the same side of the flats
Yup I'll be there.....can't say the same for the posse but what can I say.Onebad said he might make a guest apperance. Anihhilator was going last I heard but haven't spoke with him since memorial day.

cool, look forward to seeing you possibly.

Why look to the future when we dont need to? In 06 they just want tighter emissions on production bikes. That doesnt effect any of us that have 2-strokes now. The emission laws on cars doesnt stop people from driving their 71 and older vehicles, why us?

BTW, 4200 in a banshee gets you much more then 80 horse. And dont forget an 80 horse 2-stroke is much faster then an 80 horse 4-stroke

Well since I can't talk any sense into you 2-stroke enthusiasts maybe I can make you drool. My buddy just traded an old, beat up foreman 4X4 for a bone stock Honda 250R in mint condition. It has all original warning stickers, decals, tool kit, tires and all. It has very few hours on it and those were on a farm type piece of land. Everything is original, and even the paint on the underside of the A-Arms is in great condition. Even I would have jumped on that deal.

Default 4-stroke's suck!!

i'm jus wondering how 80hp from a 2-stroke is faster than 80 hp from a 4-stroke. hp is hp. 2-strokes r much easier to modify to have extreme amounts of hp than 4-strokes, but for most people, having to mix gas, and worry about keeping the revs up and not missing a shift, plus the kick-start, isn't what the average consumer wants. they want a quad where they can miss a shift and not stall, where they put the gas in, hit a button, and they're on their way. i've ridden a nearly stock banshee, it had a set of pipes, and new handlebars. after everything i've heard about the banshee, i was suprised. after riding my 450r it didn't seem as fast as everyone said it would be, and it didn't accelerate ne faster than my quad did. it felt stiff as far as suspension was concerned, and the only time i ran into problems was when i had to shift gears suddenly or quickly, i jus couldn't seem to time my shifts right. stock for stock, from simply riding the machines (a "seat of my pants" comparison)without racing them against each other, i prefer my 450r. i find the forward kick easier to use, and once i took the baffling out, opened up the airbox, and re-jetted (a $10 total cost, all for jets) it starts on the first kick every time. i feel like my quad is faster, probably because of the taller first gear, and i don't have to time my shifts perfectly like on the shee. the suspension is more plush for me too. u know what it all boils down to???? RIDER PREFERENCE!!! i say this in all the forums, and nobody ever listens. stock for stock, no quad is "better" than ne other. some may have more acceleration, some may be faster, some may have a plusher ride, but my mom doesn't like the acceleration of my 450, my friend thinks it's too fast. my other friend prefers stiff suspension. it's all rider preference. if u get into mods, and start comparing that, the banshee will be the cheapest, and easiest quad to get over 100 hp out of. i know a guy that built a "crankenstein" banshee case, arctic cat crank, snowmobile top end. 175 hp. he's gonna build a reed induction version of that, and he's expecting 220 hp, and he thinks that will be on the low end of the possibilities, he doesn't want to be overly optimistic.

Well, the people who have never rode a modified 2-stroke that yanks you back so hard that it's hard to shift (still manually shifting) dont realize the real fun. Dont just ride a piped Banshee, they aren't very impressive. Ride one that's ported good with carbs, top end pipes, on race gas or alky. That's the part that has had me hooked for years. The sudden rush of power is extreme and there is nothing like it. Thumpers can be made to run hard, but the torque curve is usually pretty flat in comparison and they just dont have that "rush" feel. I think that's why the die hard 2-stroke guys really dont care much for them. I'll take a thumper rider bike one of these days, but for now I'll have everything happening in 2-cycles

well cain i have raced a ds with a 730 and i must tell you i beat pretty good. i have one of the faster 4 strokes at pismo but it doesnt compare when a built banshee comes out to play. even if it has the same hp the 2 stroke will win because its lighter.
this post will never died because each type is better at certain things. if you want to mx 4strokes are making names for themselfs if you want to drag race, well just go to the drags(not your neighbors back 40) and see for yourself at the banshees kicking a$$

Hey 95sport400 the only problem is that when you woke up you realized that you were just riding your mom again .
