stock bore/stroke banshee's are running better then 4.0's. You have .3 to pick up there which i think you can when you get more seat time on it, but on the open hill i think a 7mm will be a little too much motor in the right hands. 125hp is hard to beat on a banshee. Even if you have a 100hp honda.
Good example is a 10mm stock cylindered banshee was running 74 up glamis this halloween, thats 3mph slower then the fastest monoblock out there and 15mph faster then the fastest honda which was putting out 75hp. 25hp will help you a lot though, but its not going to gain ya 15 more mph.

I know of a Honda at Fallon Memorial weekend doing 75mph up that hill which is MUCH steeper and longer then Glamis. I personally did 65 mph at Sand Mountain and my motor was so out of tune at the time that it was only around 75hp that weekend. I've got 2 Sabers going out to Glamis for Thanksgiving...and they're at 100 hp each,so we'll see. But remember, on a hill, torque is more important then HP, and I'm laying down the same torque that a 10 mil Cheetah is....just much wider!

may be true that SM is steeper/longer but the speeds are almost identical depending on what side of the hill the racers run on.
Torque is just as important as hp. But if your comparing a 125hp banshee with 65ft/lbs to a single cylinder 100hp honda i would be a guessing man when i say this, but the two bikes setup well will come out of the gate together, but the banshee will walk on the top end. Be a good race though
Good luck on tday though

I have had my 86 250r chassis and cr500 motor sitting for about a year now, haven't been able to find much in the way of help in answering any question with the swap. Turns out a quick Google search turns up is forum full of people that have done the swap, and technical/mechanical knowhow. Wish I would have came here earlier. Thanks. The winter project has begun...

I've been searching the web for days looking for this same info. I would definately like any pictures of this transformation that anyone could provide along with info about the basics (pipe, mounting, vibration....etc). Please feel free to email me at peeled420@hotmail.com This is great to finaly find a place with people who have done this and are familiar with what it will take. I need to put my friends Cannondale in its place.
