I want to build a bike for sand drags, but I am having a hard time deciding which bike I should do it with. Im kinda stuck in between the zilla, banshee, or raptor... I dont want to spend an a$$ load of cash building them, so what I wanted to know is which bike has the cheapest aftermarket parts, and which one is the easiest to work on for someone who knows how to wrench but is no rocket scientist.

A banshee will be the cheapest and fastest for the money. Four strokes are slow in comparison.

If you just want to drag race definatley a two stroke. YOu can put tons of money into the four strokes and make them fast but a lot less money to make the two stroke fast

jstaguy, is the cr500 in the lt frame pretty fast? ive seen a few vids of a cr500 in a banshee frame and in drags it was only taking a stock shee by about 3/4 to 1 quadlength in 300ft

and for this post. id go with banshee, can make those into crazy sanddraggers. But remember, it will only go as fast as how much money you have......

Go with a banshee. Just like Zillarider said, you will only go as fast as your wallet will let you, but you can still build a pretty quick banshee on a budget, you just got to make sure you do it right the first time.

Ya the 500 is very fast, I havent been beaten by a gas banshee yet, only alchohol, the 500 pulls so hard off the bottom that I have such a huge lead then never catch up. the banshee can start gaining on me but not in time usually

Yeah I love the shee, but I kinda want to seperate myself from rest of the pack. I found a zilla with a suzuki 1100 motor, its in great condition and the guy says its running 140 hp. he wants 7500 for it, decisions, decisions... as for the raptor I think im just gonna get a new one and keep it for the trails, then sell my rm and start buildin
