Torque Stuffer for a Rancher ?
#1
Hey guys I would like to know your opinions on installing a torque stuffer on my Rancher 350 4x4. I know very little about then, only that they install in the head pipe and help create more exhaust back pressure. This increase in back pressure increases engine torque but at the expense of top end power. Is this correct ? If so, would it be worth while installing a torque stuffer on my Rancher ? Thanks

Wouldn't a restrictive pipe just do the same thing?
I run an FMF MegaMaxII muffler. You have to run a minimum of 8 discs. I use 8 discs and the quiet core, to tune for low end power (quiet but not exactly "stealthy"). If you want top end, I can run as many as a dozen discs, but the thing gets terribly loud.

With 8, lets say there is X cubic inches of space to let the air out. Adding more discs is like adding X more Cubic inches of area for the exhaust to get out.
OR,,It'd be like drilling more holes in a pipe/adding more pipe with holes...
Hope that helps.
