Then I dont know what to tell you, I would say you did something wrong. If you put it back together stock and it runs fine then its not a problem with the bike. You said you moved the cam 1 tooth clockwise, which is correct.

But if the bike was purchased brand new and no one else has worked on the engine, there is no possible way for the cam mod to have been done already.

I agree with you that it shouldnt be done, but thats the only thing I can think of. I went over the instuction like ten times after it wouldnt start I cant see what I did wrong. If it wouldnt start to me it sounds like the exhaust and intake are opening at the same time ( no compression) otherwise I think It would still start. So I am going to do it again and do a compression test if it wont start.

Were you at TDC of the compression stroke when you changed the cam? Not sure if it matters, but it may.

yes It was at top dead center the only thing would be that the valve would be coming up and pushing on the cam.

We did this last week and had no problem with starting or running. Made a world of differance in power but started right up.

Make sure that the circlip on the exhaust cam is there, and when you moved the exhaust cam did you make sure that the
chain didnt move on the intake cam.

zip tied the intake cam so it wouldnt move and clip is in its place. I dont know what to do but try it again.
