Default Thumb Throttle vs. Twist throttle

when i cut my thumb i was cutting a piece of hard wood for a door way and i was trying to cut chunk out of the middle. when i set the board on the table saw it cut my right thumb from the middle of my knuckle on the palm side, up to the left side of my thumb nail. all the way through, so the under side is about 3/16 gash and the upper side is a nice clean cut. its healing quite well. its been almost 5 weeks.

Default Thumb Throttle vs. Twist throttle

leroy400ex hi sorry to read about your accident i'm a plumber mostly get burned hurts bad enough i just installed the motion pro twist throttle on my 2006 800 efi sportsman today works awesome put 25 miles on trail riding just to try it out.the easest way to install hand grips is to take blow gun put it in the end of the grip and get someone to hold there finger over the end of other grip as you apply air the grip will expand and you can slide them on no problem or take them off. if the grip don't have a hole in the end make one much easier to install. william

Default Thumb Throttle vs. Twist throttle

Go with a twist, and take it real easy when learning it. Pulling up on the bars for wheelies and hitting big ruts/bumps sometimes makes you apply more throttle than you would like until you get the hang of it. I prefer the thumb for atv's, and even more so on a quad as it is easier to hold onto the bars in rough terrain. The 400EX has a good powerband for a twist though, it's not like you are going to be riding a pipey Banshee or anything.

a pipey banshee..... im not sure if ur makin fun of it or what but i have yet to be beaten by a 400.
