Default Best performance mod for 2005 sportsman 500

I have a birthday coming up, so I'm going to ask for a performance mod for my 05 500, question is what should I ask for? I was thinking something like a clutch kit or carb jet kit, etc, but don't know which would give me the best results. I want something that the best all around mod. Something that helps with not only take off, but top end, as well mid range. I am open for suggestions, so if there is something I haven't mentioned, please tell me.

i think you have it all figured out on what you should do with your sportsman. i know that polaris usually has a soft powerband, and it doesnt have a hit in it at all. but it does go right along. i think if you wanted some results you should definately go with a clutch kit. also im not sure if you are familiar with hot seat performance. their website is www.hotseatperformance.com or something to that affect. they specialize in polaris performance parts. but definately a clutch kit will help you. it will make your soft powerband hit harder than you would think. im not sure if a carb is really all that its cracked up to be. but each is to own on that subject.
