Don't have an lt but I have a 40mm Lectron (converted to run alcohol) on my 295R. It's a very easy carb to tune since it has an adjustable metering rod instead of a needle like a conventional carb.

Hey Kajun thanks for the fast reply. Ive been trying to find some info on a bunch of different forums and nobody replies back. Can i pick your brain for a bit? What size rod and power jet are you running? You are about at sea level? I usually ride between5000 and 9000 feet. The carb came from Michigan and has a 6-2 rod and a 25 powerjet. Seems way to rich!!! Any suggestions?
Thanks
Scott

My carb is set up for alcohol so it has dual powerjets. I have a 100 powerjet and nothing in the other tube. I don't know what metering rod I have but I'll check and yes, I'm just above sea level. If you're rich then I would start by turning the metering rod counterclockwise a quarter of a half turn at a time and see if this leans it out any. Remember, the flat side of the metering rod has to face the motor so after making any adjustments push the metering rod into the carb and turn the rod until the flat side faces the engine. I have some literature on tuning Lectrons somewhere and I can dig it out if you'd like. If you're still rich on the top end then I'd drop a size on the powerjet.
