Smaller front sprocket = more top speed?

I know what your trying to do and with your mods you should have no problems pulling a taller gear. 1 tooth change in the front is equal to 3 in the rear. Up in the front increases top end speed but takes away from bottom end. This would be noticable without mods but with it makes up the difference also on a auto trans I don`t know how it would change things as far as where the power loss would be.
A front sprocket is cheap $15 US give it a try.
DO NOT engage AWD (on good traction surfaces pavement, hard packed ect...) however after you do this.
