get a zilla in good shape and well maintained,2 stroke are so easy to understand and manintain,
do some search on the net about jetting and mods, you'll have the funniest ride you ever had on quads, there is no other quads that will touch you then....
the myth about 2 stroke must stop now,i hear horrible story, about 4 stroke grenaded case and motor,on a simply
daily normal ring day, unless you got a 4 cylinder 4 stroke in a quad, you'll always had problem keepin up with
them. my 2 cents...

I LOVE THE RAPTOR CLAN. keep it up guys. im gonna have to agree with all the others, those 450's make good powere but they cant keep up. ill pass my all my 450 buddies in a 3rd gear wheelie, and still have 4th and 5th. there is no replacement for dissplacement. now im not just blowin smoke up these raptor guys asses, ill admit when im beat. my buddies got a yfz 450 with a high comp piston and cam work. now im not saying he'll beat me but hes the only one who can keep up. i cant forget about the banshee's either i was once a proud owner and stand behind the raw power of a bored out banshee, theres no replacement for powerband either, lol. so in the end if u wanna stop gettin beatin by 450s throw sum money into your machine or buy a banshee. lol

It's fairly simple. Just spend more.....
Unlike a lot of people that comment on threads like these, I've owned both the 660 and now a 450. I'll take the 450 any day of the week. It's lighter, turns way better, has better suspension, and after a few simple bolt on mods like a cam and pipe, it's faster. BTW - I did the cam and pipe to my 660 too, and at best it had about 46 hp and it weighed almost 400 lbs. With the same done to my trx, I have about 48 hp and it weighs 40 lbs less. Do the math.
When you start adding pistons, strokers, porting, BIG cams, etc., then the displacement advantage of the Raptor takes it's toll. You just need to spend a ton to do it, AND you still have a top heavy, poorly suspended beast that you're stuck with...
You want to beat the 450's? Sell the Raptor and buy a 450...
