Just purchased a '00 Scrambler 500. I'm planning on a new exhaust. I was originally leaning towards an FMF Megamax II due to cost and general impression from prior posts. A member in a Polaris post recommended the Supertrapp IDS. Now I'm torn. Looking for a majority opinion on which way to go without having to do any serious jetting. I understand the FMF requires no jetting, or is their another pipe that is better than both for this bike.

Thanks

I think both of the pipes you mentioned are tuneable, in other words you can add or subtract disk to meet your sound or performance needs(more disk=more power&more noise. I run the ids on my Wolverine with al disk installed(12)it's louder than stock but not too loud, you can lay off the gas and still be fairly quite when you need to.
