I was looking in powroll for a cam and it said that a cam core was needed. In webcaminc they cost 90 dollars and i dont have that much money since I will puta piston kit, valve springs and clutch disks which I really need. It says that with a billet cam you dont need this core. Were can i find billet cams and what is the difference. What is a core anyway. I cant send mine. Can someone explain me about this and the cam please. Do I need to but it or can i use mine and i put it or a mechanic which will cost less than 90 dollars. THanks

Basically, there's two ways to make a "performance" camshaft. You've found information on both of them.
A Billet camshaft is a cam that is made from a new piece of material. As far as I know, nobody is making Billet cams for the Warrior because it's an expensive design.
A Hardweld camshaft takes your stock cam and adds (by welding)material to it, then grinds it to the new profile. This is why the core is required.
The reason companies charge so much for a Warrior core is because Yamaha charges alot for one! They just charge whatever Yamaha price is for a new stock camshaft.
What most people do is order the new Hardweld camshaft, and they are charged the price of the cam, plus the core charge. When they get the cam, they remove their stock cam from the engine & install the new cam. Then they send their old stock cam back and are credited for the core.
Hope this makes it a little easier to understand.
