Valve clearance has to be checked/adjusted more often on the KTM engine in the Outlaw and also the shim system on the Predator 500 than any of the other Polaris atvs. The manual says to check the valve clearance every 15 hours!! Intake and exhaust clearance sets at .005 on the Outlaw. This is the first thing that comes to mind that I would check. OPT
