Looking at getting Sportsman 90 for my son. Have read some old threads and everyone says they are made overseas. Emailed Polaris and got the following back as a response. Legit or generic email?? Thanks!!

Thanks for taking the time to contact us about your interest in purchasing a Sportsman 90 ATV.


Polaris has four centers of excellence for manufacturing. They are as follows:


Roseau, MN: Produces all models of snowmobiles, all models of ATV's, select models of the full-size Rangers & select models of the Ranger RZR's.


Spirit Lake, IA: Produces all of the Victory and Indian Motorcycles, all of the GEM Electric Vehicles (actually made in Milford, IA), select models of the full-sized & mid-sized Ranger.


Osceola, WI: Produces all of the Victory & Indian Motorcycle engines, all of the domestic twin snowmobile engines, select ORV (Off-Road Vehicles) engines.


Monterrey, MX: Produces select models of the full-sized & mid-sized Rangers and select models of the Ranger RZR's.

They are made in Taiwan like "jumbofrank" posted in the regular threads! They are made by either Eton,Aeon, plus the early models were made by Kasea. Please don't post in the regular thread section and the expert section on the same question. OPT
