Default 2006 polaris 800 no spark

Just replaced ignition coil kit. Also replaced plugs and installed new fuel filter. It turns over and battery is at 100 percent but does not fire. There are no codes on diagnostic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure you have 1/8" slack only at the thumb throttle. This should keep the etc contacts from touching. You can pop the throttle cap to make sure the small contacts are open and not touching. I'd also check the small wiring from the sensors leading down into the harness for any bare wires or soft feeling wires. This could ground out the spark.Plus make sure the pump primes up when you turn the key on. Also look at the "sticky" post on efi wiring problems on the 700 and 800 atvs in this section. When you say doesn't fire do you mean NO spark or just wont start??

Thanks for the reply OPT,

Here is a little more information for you the ATV only has 120 hours and when it is turning over engine there is power to the ignition coil but no spark at plugs. We looked at throttle and the 1/8 inch gap seems to be there.

Any other recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Other that what I already suggested, check the connector into the ecu and clean and use a little electrical grease. You can also pull the cover over the flywheel and stator area and clean around it. If you have a good ground for the coil and the other grounds, you've checked all the wiring that you can do visually and for soft melted sensor wires, then you may need Digital Wrench software to isolate the problem. Sometimes dealers are a necessary "evil" when it comes to efi problems and for the diy home mechanic instead of just throwing more parts at it..
