Hi everyone, my first post from Albany, Western Australia - .
Pretty flat over this way, the highest mountain we have in WA is a whole 1099m, so we mainly have bush, dune and coastal riding areas. Because of the low population to land mass in WA, you do not have the pressure of a lot of riders in the same area.


Question:
I have a 2008 500 ho and recently purchased a well used 2009 550 eps with a broken transmission ( bearing and silent chain broken), been looking at complete used transmissions from the US on ebay.
I have been reading that I can use transmission (1332786)from other years and from the 850, just wondering if this is correct?

Can't say that it would bolt up without any problems as there may be changes in the mounting,but I've seen stranger things than this people have been able to do. The 2009 550 and 850 did use the same gear case so it kind of stands to reason you possibly could get a different year model gear case that would mount up.
