Default 2000 Polaris xpedition 425

My Polaris has water getting in the motor through the radiator i suppose and i can smell it when it is running but it won’t stay on unless i keep my hand on the gas. The day it happened, the four wheeler just cut off on me and when i got it to crank back up there was water shooting out the bottom end of the motor and the radiator was whistling loud. I was told the head could be crack but i don’t know to much about fixing four wheelers. Can any of you point me in the right direction?

Radiator pressure test first. Pumping up to 10psi and it should hold this pressure. If the pressure drops it can usually be a blown head gasket.

Nope.. Rods are different part numbers because the bore and stroke are different on each one. 87.9 mm bore x 70 mm stroke for the 425 / 92 mm bore x 75 mm stroke for the 500.

You ca get an oem head gasket or an aftermarket top end gasket kit. Head gasket to the left, base gasket to the right if you have to remove the cylinder.
