new RZR

That's the problem IMO. They want to keep competing with a machine that will not sell in most areas because of the size. Great for the folks down south who are fortunate enough to be able to ride pretty much where they want. Not so great for us who live where trails are regulated to death. Nice to watch them go back and forth as long as they continue to build machines for those of us that are restricted.

That would be crazy out here for them to do that. I've seen an increasingly large number of RZRs with the 50" width on the trails in Maine and NH. EVERY single person I've talked to absolutely loves them. It's to the point where they are about 1 out of every 15 quads I see.

Let's hope it's just a rumor. I have yet to see a RZR-S anywhere here except on a showroom floor or listed for sale on craigslist(no Commanders other than a dealer demo on the floor either). Not that they aren't great machines but they aren't practical up here. Most trails are set up for atv's/snowmobiles and the bigger sxs's are too wide. They really need to start listening to their customers and not focus so much on a "bigger,faster, more bling than the other guy even though we will only sell a limited amount machine".

I posted this over in the Polaris forum;
I hear rumors from a reliable source that the 50" RZR might come to an end.
The CSPC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) thinks that the 50” width is too narrow and therefore too dangerous for a side by side machine.
So tell me after watching the videos, who's most likely to get hurt?? Someone doing 73 mph across the desert or someone in a RZR going 20 mph riding a 50" wide ATV trail.
