Painting wheels Black??
#21
what about if i wanted to paint like my A-arms and Swingarm Black for example, along with the suspension coils?
i'm not saying i want to do this but i'm a assuming the powdercoating would be the best for that as well?

I decided not to do it. I dont want to screw up my ATV - I could imagine scraping one rock and getting a huge silver line across my rim.
Anyway, I like the look of those Maxxis 4x4's. They look different, like truck rims, instead of your regular atv wheel.

Well, I would, but two things. 1, I'm cheap. And 2, I couldnt imagine spending money on rims, mine get dented and scratched and smashed so often. Even if aftermarket rims are stronger, I couldnt imagine them not scratching upon impact with a huge rock (my latest wheel injury, that was yesterday, it took the paint off the lip of the rim around about 1/3 of the rim and left a dent about 3/4" deep).

ITP makes black type c wheels.
Buy ITP aluminum wheels & then you do not have to worry about rust or painting them.

I wonder if someone makes a bead lock type wheel that is similar to what the rock crawling jeeps use? If you are that tough on your wheels this type might help you.

I have seen beadlock rims on some of the GNCC utility quads. Not sure if they are real or simulated, though.
Page 49 of the new ATV Magazine is an ad for Maxxis, and the quad in the back has black beadlock rims.
