Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

I suppose I can see COBs point too, however, when my H/C kit was installed in my Xplorer,my mechanic stated that my low end would be vastly improved, and I would also gain a few MPH on the top end. After MANY calls to Randy from my Polaris mechanic Steve and MANY spring changes and adjustments,I come to the conclusion that my Hot Seat clutch gave me more of what I was looking for.At no time did Randy ever offer me my money back for a return. This whole H/C ordeal with MY quad cost ME two hrs of labor [130.00]plus the price of a kit that I did'nt care for.

I felt like a guinne pig for H/C at MY expense.

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

Cob,
They answer the phone "HELLO" NOT "supertorqer, or heelclicker, how can I direct your call" this indicate's to me it's their home phone, When dan says he has a test unit warming up in the back yard that kinda confirm's my suspicion's.
and your absolutely right that people are diffrent and have diffrent riding style's. However, top end is top end, and it doesn't matter who's holding the throttle when the top end goes from 62 to 52mph.
Personally, I don't care if they run their business out of the bathroom at the corner gas station, as long as they take care of their customers. Randy and Dan have tried to do that, an I am gratefull for their efforts. My only point is this - be prepared to make changes to the recomended set up, because testing has been limited, especially on new models like the 600.

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

I know of one day this WINTER that in one phone call there was over $250,000 worth of product sold, so I would say any outfit that sells over a MILLION dollars worth of stuff each year can answer the phone how ever they want.

I also know for a fact they have deals with local dealers to use new machines for testing, they also spend many hours on a DYNO testing these machines. Dan has at his dissposal several machines that are used in testing, Like I say you guys need talk to them don't take my word for it.

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

Cob,
I only have my experience with them as a customer. When I get a call from a customer saying that a system I designed isn't performing as promised I get their personel info so I can call them back by a promised deadline - with a solution. Then I try to recreate the problem etc, etc. After half a dozen calls to them all I kept getting was why don't you try this or that (pure quess work), oh that doesn't work, well try this.... you get the picture. I was their research dept. I didn't pay $160 for that. If they have a million in sales per year why don't they have several units of each model on hand to test? They told me they didn't do any testing on 600's.

It seems MOST of that sales revenue is in snowmobiles, not atv's.

I know this will most likely get me banned from ATVNation too, and I don't want this to sound like bashing, and now that I've been forced to learn clutching and done all the research I'm actually pretty happy with the result.

But, it's my honest experience......

LOVEMUD,
dont worry about being banned from the ATV Connection[although you probalby will now be banned from the ATV NATION for not agreeing with COB],these ATV Connection guys are amongst the best, and your points are very VALID that even I can relate to,because I went thru the SAME IDENTICLE thing when the Heel Clicker kit was installed on my Xplorer.TRY THIS-TRY THAT-DO THIS-DO THAT?

You have EVERY right to be disappointed!

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

You guys are complaining to the messenger. All I do is deliver the message you have a complaint dial either one of the above numbers and tell them. You have a problem tell the offending party, don't just come on some forum and complain. Do something that amounts to something, if it really bothered you that much follow it up. For $160 bucks you could of had a one size fits all kit and you wouldn't of had to worry about it, what you see is what you get, simple as that. Don't really sound as if they do much R&D if thats the way they are, just hit the middle of the road take it or leave it. I myself enjoyed fooling with the different settings as when I got done I understood my clutch and it's inter works far better. When all was said an done I used the recomended settings. Had it not worked I could have gotten my money back, try that with a one size fits all kit. I was happy enough with the way it worked for ME, that I cut a deal with them so that others could get a discount for buying the kit. I pass that savings along to anyone that cares to buy one, thats all I have to to do with these. I'm not a salesman for them, I have no vested interest in the company. I just try to help others with thier purchase so they can save a few bucks. If it don't work you arent happy send it back for a full refund buy something else that duz make you happy.

Lovemud just because you dissagree I don't know where you get the idea you will be banned. The whole site was set up around different views, that was the point of the forums.

Ok BILLY let me let you in on a little secret. TXDOC and I were banned here because we dared to have another opinion. A member had his quad stolen, he was refered to another site that had a place where you could post the serial # of a stolen QUAD. His post was deleted because another site was mentioned. Now if he don't have a QUAD he has no use for a ATV FORUM, when this was brought up and we protested such treatment, we had our posting privledges taken away.

Cob,
im not going to get into it with you over WHY you were banned in here,it was a long time ago and most of your advice in here now is pretty good stuff, though we will all differ in opinions from time/time?

And since I no longer have the desire to take our indifferances any further than it has been in the past,I'll not speak of WHY I got banned from your site either,it would only take us both back to arguing again.

Have a good day!

Bill

It sounds like a couple of old men bickering...Ha muddy...your right.. ricker is a excellent company...If every one who is barking hear went to their web site...take a close look at the weights they use...go to the heelclicker site and look at their weights....They might look the same...I wonder why?....for the other clutch company you mentioned...they went out of bussness a couple of mouths ago....both of you guys should go to your room.... Anyway WE as atvers should try to help each other instead of bashing on anyones forum...in the last two weeks two other clutch companys went out of bussness....or joined to try to keep their bussness running....I sure don't see or hear anyone out hear with their own company...try it some time...its not easy...for heelclicker...they are putting out the most advance produces in clutching design and performance that anyone has done in 30 years...Name one company that has not copyied off of Aiens...heelclicker has not...out of over 200 kits sold for 600's ...it sounds like theirs two or three people are trying to make a stir out of it...the rest are happy with their results of the product...again why don't you guys come up with some fantastick clutch system...start a company...and then post it ...Let us know how easy it is to run.....I'm sure every company from clutching to exhausts to tires are trying to keep their heads above water...I wish them all the best ...But lets all try to help each other with our machines...For the phones...I get around 75 calls a day...some on hold....muddy I'll let you talk to a machine...see if they give you any answers you migt be looking for....When people call they do get answers...not a machine...for out of a garage....try being on the docks and answers the phone at the same time...trying to help people...even people who have other named brand clutch kits....I don't blow them off...I help them with their problems...try that with the other companys ...see what they say to YOU...TRY IT...Let us know what YOU get muddy....It won't be a smilling face on the other end...so I hear
