HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION
#43
Maybe something else not a HEELCLICKER.
Bill I would suggest you tell RANDY or DAN or both that they need test these units. I don't work for them so it isn't my place. ph numbers are on SUPER TORQUER or HEELCLICKER.

I just bought a 2002 Polaris 90cc Scrambler a few wks ago for my ATV safety classes, there is no reason for me to need one of these kits. But I'll say this much.If I wanted a clutch kit,I would not be interseted in buying one from a company that has not tested its product and KNOWS for sure what it does or does not make a differance on,especially with a price tag of 180 bucks?
Making the customer a guinne pig for YOUR product is not my idea of a reptuable bussiness. And further,Dan and Randy can run their bussiness without my advice or my BUSSINESS dollars, since I am not their partner or customer.

The heelclicker is a good kit. You have to put the effort into tuning the clutch. Some folks aren't inclined to work on their quad so this kit might not be what your looking for. I had to spend some time on mine to get it where I wanted. I saw an increase of 3 mph topend and and increased my lowend performance. My mid-range went flat when I used the stock primary, but the orange spring from H/C did the trick.
I also played with different springs to get the cheap fix, but in the end the H/C was what I was looking for all along. I don't sell H/C kits so take it for what its worth, just my opinion.
I also bought my kit of the atvnation site for a $158.00, but hey I saved a couple of bucks. I will also tell you Dan will bend over backwards to help you out, you would have to be some kind of jerk to him before he would give you the brush off. I know I bugged the living crap out of him, but did it in a nice way. End result, I got the kit in and I'm happy with way the clutch works over the stock set up.
Hope everyone gets their machine running like they want it, good luck.

Billy you have a very valid point there, now how do you go about making sure they tested thier product? Why don't you call RANDY suggest that to him, then come back with an answer so we will know. While you have him on the line ask him if I'm a salesman for them.

Cob,
take a look at a few posts in here, especially LOVEMUDs post on page two.Randy and Dan dont seem to agree yet on differant weights or a differant spring for the secondary? It appears by the amount of ''fixes'' that some customers have to do[including MINE] to get the quad to perform to the hype of the Heel Clicker kit, that there is still a little more research to do on certain differant applications?
I dont have the complete answer for testing the product on various models. But a ''start''would be to give a reduced rate to the customer that would be willing to let these two guys install and test their Heel Clicker product on their make/model ATV?If and WHEN the Polaris 800EFI comes out,I probably would be willing to let them experiment with mine?
Now the salesman part?Well that was nothing more than a ''payback comment''for all the times you ''sarcastically'' refered to me as one when I worked at the Honda dealership, nothing more.I dont wish to further argue with you and im sorry if this offended you?I said my paybacks and its time to move in another direction.
And im sorry, but since I am not a customer or partner of theirs,I dont feel compelled to suggest this to them.
Yeller,
glad to kit is to your expectations.
Best of luck!

I think people should know up front that they will need to do some experimentation and go thru some trial and error. I'm an engineer so I was expecting the research to be done by the manufacturer, just like I have to do for my clients. I get the distinct feeling Heelclicker is an outfit run out of someone's garage, they answer the phone hello. I can only conclude they don'y have the resources to do sufficient testing on their product line. This is by no means a cut, I'm all for small start ups bringing new idea's to market. BUT, I think your average buyer expects to slap it in and go.

I don't ride like you do, you don't ride like I do. I expect something different than you do. So what can be better than a clutch kit that I can set-up that will fit my needs. If you can't do that, you best buy a one size fits all outfit. There are many of them on the market. instead of complaining on here about RANDY and DAN call them tell them your concerns. They have a phone out in the GARAGE where they will be working.
Here I done the work for you. While you are at it ask RANDY what the dimensions of his garage are. LOL
Randy 1 810 694-5493 SUPER TORQUER
Dan 1 810 797-5128 HEELCLICKER

LOVEMUD,
I also agree with your comment, especially after the amount of $$ you have to pay for some of these aftermarket products. It just seems like there was not a whole lot of research and developement going on with this H/C product on certain make/model ATVs before they released them out to the public?
