Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

Grizz,
I'll tell you what I got from Hot Seat.I got a kit that WORKED just like they said it would right from the start.I also got a kit that I did'nt have to ''experiment''with!

Why would I want to come up with some fantastic clutch system for? That is not my line of speciality nor does it spark my interests.I was just a H/C buyer who just wanted something to work like it was suppose to without spending a bunch of time trying differant things to make it perform correctly, especailly after paying 2 hrs labor to a Polaris mechanic to install it.From the sounds of your post,I was definately a minority customer here?

Now,if what you say about having 200 of these H/C kits sold to those with 600s and only a few people are having issue's with them, well, thats something I was unaware of and I think thats a great percentage.I only know the trouble that Steve at Jans sporting shop had with my Xplorer about a yr and a half ago and that I was very unhappy with the H/C kit.Than I read in here about another fellow having H/C adjustment issues also?Either way, your well talked about by most folks and it surly sounds to me that you work your a$$ off to make people happy,I just was'nt one of them.

My own bussiness?Yes,I am the President of my own ATV safety organization.I agree with you, running a bussiness is not the easiest thing to do sometimes.

Continued luck with your H/C kits.I may own a set if the 800EFI Polaris is ever released. And YES,you get to install it!

Bill

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

One more thing that I forgot to mention...For the statement of Cob being a salesmen on heelclicker? It seems you like winding him up...The sales program he has going for the nations site...witch is peanuts in %...he doesn't make anything...it gos toward the nations site to help maintian the site...and give people a chance to get a great discount on the product...but more important to bring people together...to swap stories,thoughts...but to help each other out,as I said before with all our machines....no matter what type of machine you have..or products you use...Its the idea of bring people together...mudder you said your a ceo of a safety company...thats great...please keep us all informed on what the feds are going to do to all the states that get moneys for our trails...cause for what I understand over 60% of the atv trails maybe be closed if each state that get moneys from the feds do not obey by the new mandates brought on by the federal safty commision...But you should be up on that since you are a ceo of some type of safety corperation....so please let all of us know what is going on their...for hot seat I wish them the best in bussness....

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

Grizz,
my ''PAST'' problems with COB goes back many yrs ago when he got booted in this very forum. He is also a moderator in his own forum, and if he disagreed with your comments on a particular topic,he would change the wording over to HIS liking and make you look like a fool.

The SALESMAN thing?Well, sometime ago,I took on a part time job as a salesman for Honda, and no matter what I said in a post,COBs remark would be,''what do you expect from a Honda salesman''?Even though I own,Kawi,Yam,Polaris, and Honda. My comments were just a little payback, and thats over now.

I have no idea where you get he idea that the Feds give us $$ for our trails? This is an untrue statement. When you purchase an ORV sticker for 16.25 here in Mich,53% of that 16.25 goes towards maintaining our own ORV trail system,we do NOT get a CENT from the federal government,we are SELF supporting.

And please enlighten me and others on the NEW FEDERAL mandates on ORVs.Nothing except meetings have taken place with the CPSC,there are no NEW federal mandates on ORVs as of yet, only discussions.

Feel free to request any info regarding our states ORV system, thats MY area.

Default HEELCLICKER CLUTCH QUESTION

Hey cob ive read this thread from begining to end and im wondering if you dont work for h/c thne why the hell would u stick up for them and go out of your way to sell the product and defend it when you could be o i dont riding your quad with this wonderful kit. Second if a company sells a product it should be pantented and work for each individual atv. Cob i think your full of shi@ and your tryin to pull a fast one over alot of people and make a quick dollar. Second the very first post of this topic was on if the kit was good or not, not call dan or ron or whoever....is the kit good or bad and for what atv.....so stop all this bull shi@ and answer the question and stop tryin to sell somthin that only works for one person and take into account what will work for this one person, not you him.

IDLE since you have read the whole post you know that I did answer his question.

Yes it will make a great difference to your machine. The heelclicker will take the belt lag away, it will grab the belt better, you will use low very little. It will improve the EBS on your machine. It won't raise top end but you will get there faster, because of better belt grab. You can e-mail me I can fill you in on buying one.

Sorry that you feel as you do, but that is what these forums are about,we all have opinions. You don't need buy a kit, you do what ever. I stick up for them as I have delt with these folks first hand I know them and how they treat the customers. I know how the kit works from actual experience on many more machines than just mine.

fair enough. I just think the product needs to be tested before its sold to the public and it should have all the apropiate settings for the machine its goin to be used on.

Sounds to me from what GRIZZ states in his earlier post, that he sold about 200 of these H/C kits for the 600s,and just 2 or 3 are having any difficulty? If thats true,I'd have to say that they are tested pretty well before they put them out on the market?

Every product made, will have SOME margin of error once in a while.

Billy been long time since we agreed on any thing but yes, they are tested. No they can't test every machine in every condition, what my machine requires at 5000ft is different than what is required at 10,000ft, or what is required at SEA LEVEL. Yes we all ride different what makes me happy won't make you happy an vice versa. One thing that I liked about the HEELCLICKER and appealed to me was the fact that I could adjust it to my quad my altitude my style of riding. With other kits you get one set-up that is it, no way to tweak it. If that isn't for you then by all means buy a kit that is set up for one application only. One of the things that caught my eye early on was that many kits were only good for up to 2-3000ft, since I live at 5000ft and usually ride from 7000ft to over 14,000ft I needed something that I could dial in for my type of conditions.

The choices are out there you are the one that makes it, I can't make it for you nor will I try to. You ask I will tell you what my experiences have been and what I have seen an heard back from guy's that have bought them and have them installed in thier machines. I won't put someone elses kit down as I have very little experience with them. If I haven't ridden them I can only relate what others have said, an I shy away from that if I can. Just try to help you make a better informed decision.

Cob,
I do have to agree that most posts you read in regards to the H/C are good ones.I just had a few past bitter feelings about the kit because of a few bad posts and the bad luck I had with my Xplorer. We just could not find the right setting for the Xplorer,no matter what we did.But you know something, that was about a yr and a half ago and im sure that R/D has it straight now.

Continued good luck!

Bill
