Very easy just spin your secondary by hand and guide the belt off by hand.Rick Ritter stage one is hard to beat for the money.

yeah belts are very easy to change and its not as scary in there as you would think, very simple. Yeah i would recomend geting a kit instead of just a pipe, that way all the parts, clutch and exhaust, will work the best possible. If you do get a kit changing the clutch spring and all that is kinda technical and dangerous i'd take it to a dealer or shop who knows about polaris'. i'm getting the RCR stage 1 kit my self next week. Should be fun!

The clutch kit is not dangerous to change....you just need a good set of snap ring pliers and an extra set of hands to get the helix in an out, following the directions to a T and you will be ok.
I wish they would include some pictures of the primary and seconday clutchs so you could have saved any doubt at first on what you are doing and what each part is, I know it it preatty much self explain but pictures are worth a thousand words.

Make sure the belt goes on so the writing is readable ( right side up ) as you put the belt on. once they get broken in they only work in one direction.

i only weigh about 160 and i have changed out my springs several times by myself- don't worry about it- it just takes time. as for a belt i would go to a kevlar belt and you can get the same one HPD sells at NAPA for $29 part number 19AT4090-will save you some money. i use this belt for trail riding and racing. If you trail ride mainly check out the Hillclicker clutch system - personnal i prefer it over the hpd system and RCR- just my experience. If you are getting the pipe i would recommed a UNI dual stage air filter and main jet. good luck
