HOW MANY MILES ON A FULL TANK CAN I GO---04 Sportsman 700
#1
I was told not to get the 700 because it did not have a great touring range. If I were just out to see the country in high range ( not crawling over everything in low ) about how may miles can I cover before refueling? I'm pretty sure on a long trip I'll need to cary extra fuel.

not sure how much difference, but after going 60 miles with my '03 sp600 last weekend-speeds from 15-30 mph, I only added about
2.4 gallons....so based on that I would bet you could go safely from 80-90 miles on a tank!

remember, on the 600/700's when looking into the tank from the cap, it might look empty, but the tank drops down another level in
the front...so ther is still a lot of fuel left. the tanks hold 4.75 gallons!!!

My first 2 tank fulls (break-in), I got about 45 to 55 mile range. Now with the 3rd tank I have about 150mi on the machine and still have a little less than 1/2 tank. So I would say when it is broken in you should expect 75-80mi range. Of course this depends on how you're driving. This is a rough estimate on a good trail speed, (20-45+)
