Rook, I would check with HPD before you order the tensionor (If you do). Because from how mine installed, it doesn't look like it would work with a swingarm gaurd

I have broken 3 chains on my sport, on the same track on the same jump. I just had to replace my master cylinder so a chain tensioner is next, I'm tired of buying new o ring chains and I've heard that I've been lucky I haven't cracked my tranny case yet.

You're real luck not to have broke your case, especially with the cheapo case savers that Polaris puts on. I would highly recommend a chain tensionor, especially if you are jumping it like that

Yeah, I figured that and I've been thinking about taking off the guard because I think it does as much harm (getting stuck) as it does good. I've rode behind another scrammy (dodgepower's) and watched how his did without a swingarm guard....his would slice through some stuff that mine would get high-centered on...

To tell you the truth, I have never had a problem with rocks or anything else hitting my swingarm or chain. I do have some pretty good size dents in the sprocket gaurd, but I decided that the chain tensionor was more important and more realistic in my situation.

Yeah, now that I know better I wish I had spent that money elsewhere....but I was a bit paranoid at first and was being on the REAL safe side
