Time to bore???
Alright christmas is coming up and i was wondering wat u guys think?? Should i bore my engine to .040 and get the wiseco piston or should i get the flywheel shaved?? im gonna get all this from RCR. O ya by the way i used to be hotseatperformancefan but im not loyal to them anymore

Trust me, save your bore for when you need it. A new cylinder head will cost you around $400 dead cost not to mention the piston kit which could run around $100 or more, they do go out the more you ride them so save the bore for when you need it. Although after doing mine the other day, I was real happy with the results it doesn't even seem like the same 4-wheeler...I can get at 1/4 throttle nearly what I got at full throttle before the new bore and piston job.

On the flywheel lightening, I have mine race lightened and it
made a huge difference and this was after the reed conversion
kit. Before I had the flywheel lightened, Mike from HPD told
me that I would not notice alot of difference with the flywheel
trail lightened.

If it has the stock piston in it still, it would be a good idea to get it out of there. Only go as much as necessary to clean it up which is usually .020 at a time. The big bores make more torque, but sacrifice total power output. The reason is that the amount of fuel and air delivery stays the same but the piston is larger. You just make more HP out of a smaller bore to a certain extent. I would definitely race lighten that flywheel, get rid of the starter and battery. You would be amazed at how it zips with the flywheel done, and it's not hard to start at all.

yea i guess i will take apart the engine sometime this winter and see how the inside of the cylinder looks. i am definetly getting the wiseco piston kit. After that im probably gonna put on a chain tensor and then go to the flywheel lightening. so you will you still be able to feel a difference when its not race lightened but lightended to keep the starter?? do you get any hp out of the lightening or does it just make it rev faster??thanks guys this is really helping
