Sportsman 700
#1
I'm looking at picking up a Sportsman 700. I might look for used instead of new due to the fact that I don't get too much time to use it. Also, I have more fun withan ATV after someone else put the first scratch on it. Anyway, are there any good years and bad years for the S700. Also, what kind of improvements are in the 2004's?

Now, back to the original topic. The 02 SP700 had its probelms, as most first year machines do. The water pump plate was one of them. However, Polaris recalled those and will replace them for free. As for 03' they [retty much had the problems worked out. I would try and get an 03 if it were my money. The 04 got a facelift. Then for the 04.5 they put new Babland tires on and a mechanical fuel gauge as well as a redigned pod with more features. That is all I can think of right now

I have not ridden either, so I am going by what people say on here. The 600 and 700 are not that much different in speed and acceleration. The 700 has a little more grunt, but the 600 makes up for it in gas mileage. But then again, if you want the biggest baddest machine, then it is the SP700, without a doubt.
