Default Snow

What whould do better in deep snow a sporsman 700 or polaris ranger 4x4? Both have stock tires.

Depends on the snow. The Sportsman has more clearance, but the Ranger is heavier and can 'bust' through deeper drifts.

Overall, I think the Sportsman would go a little farther the most often, though.

Depends on how much snow you have.

IF its an average 12" or less with teh occasional gig drift, a heavybike with narrow tires or high airpressure to get down through the snow and find traction will work better.

Around here, we ofter have 3-10 feet of snow in the woods. Quads guys usually wait until the trails are packed down by skidoos first. Then they run wide tires with 2-2.5 lbs of air pressure to provide better flotation and stay on top of the snow.
