Default Lightening?

U really think its that light? How heavy is it stock? I removed 30lbs so far and still have starter and battery and now back brakes are comming off, and starter and battery and a little more. Maybe i can get it down to 300 or so.

i dont know how serious you wanna get into it but if your good at fabricating you could always cut away some of the framming and make mounts so you can bolt aluminum replacment piece's to it?did you remove the rear sprocket guard?

ive removed the guards and plastic skid plates, about to cut the welded skid plates. I am pretty serious but i dont have the money to fabricate anything. I drag only with it. I would cut holes all in the subframe but my wheelybar mounts to it so it might not could take stress. Also, im starting to race asphalt so i dont want a weak frame.

forgot to say, instead of removing the oil tank etc, i just removed the gas tank instead. That was like 8 lbs, I just dont know if that gas will last me an 1/8 mile plus bur out and trip back.

Ive heard of people removing the reverse gearing from the trans for weight and quicker revs. Can anybody add some details to this?

Yup, the reverse gear is a chunk of wt. You can also get rid of the shifter, just fab a straight aluminum handle coming off it. You'll still be able to get neutral. You can also gun drill the mount bars for the front a-arms. Skip the nerfs and just run pegs. Chromoly swingarm and a-arms.

I've heard of someone on here replacing all his fastners with titanium. He kept a supply on hand and replaced the nuts and bolts as he worked on stuff. Also a lighter axle and replace the chain and sprockets with 420 size. Anything you can fab out of aluminum. A arms and steering post.
