DS650-Predator-Hopping up Scrambler
#31
Ive never been to the dunes and dont plan on it anytime in the near future. I really like the predator, but Id really like to ride one first, and DS's are soo darn cheap around here it would justify buying one. Ive rode the DS and it was fun, but I wasnt really blown away by power or speed or handling for that matter. Its not as fast as I had originally imagined it but it was still a whole lotta fun, and a pipe and a rev limiter would do wonders. As im getting older Im doing less trails, and more feild blasting and jumping, and this is where the scrambler kinda falls, although Ive figured out a way to fix everything on it, its just really pricey, and the more ive thought about it the less of an option hopping it up is, its a great quad but its falling short of my expectations now adays. Im really gonna just keep my eyes open in the spring time for a DS or if permitting ill get a predator, which is what im shooting for, but being 15 and working for your dad haying and doing the stone quarry all summer my income is only a little over 1k....hes kinda cheap but for now ill just pray for more snow and do research. A buddy of mine keeps telling me not to get a DS they spin too much and are wayy too big (but hes a honda owner and i think his 400 is too small) so i dont really listen to him, but I respect your guys's comments so anymore would be great.
Thanks a lot

I have never rode the pred, but I have seen it do alot of cool stuff. That might be a better choice, it's not as wide as the DS and has got great power. I do think reverse is over rated as well and I have not really used the 4x4 on my scambler to often. I seems to do fine on two wheels just hauling the bike through.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! That's all it's about. You made a decision and people should respect that not bust on it. I don't recall any one in the Polaris forum ever saying POLARIS IS THE BEST but to many people like to come in here and tell us they're not. Why does it matter? You made your choice of what you want to ride, so go ride it and quit busting on our quads. Why is this so difficult for some people to understand? To bad people didn't put forth as much effort to help others as they do to try and bust others down. I don't know why I'm even wasted my time typing this. Some people will just never GROW UP. This forum has become more of a nuisance than a help!

Polaris is the BEST......NOT... Their is no "BEST" quad each quad is made to do different things.... A scrambler is a awesome trail quad and is very sporty for a 4x4... Each quad has its bad and good points.... If you like the pred go with the pred you have to think about what you want to do with it... Then you can make your mind up on what to get.. I got the scram for mud and really nasty trails, and the Banshee well i got such a good deal i could not pass it up.... But if you dont buy a POLARIS bad things will happen to you...j/k The best thing you can do is find out as much as you can about each quad then ask yourself what you want to do with it then search around and find out how well i does, And if you can test ride them or just set on one, Setting on a quad can tell you a lot about it and if its the right size etc for you.... Go with whats best for you!!!!
I know its hard to ask questions on here with people that dont care about what you want all they care about its what they like...
Good Luck,
Trailrider

You havn't struck sh*t. You think you actually matter to me, I can care less. Sorry if I don't like to put around trails all day long. Sorry if I like speed and adventure. You guys are so loyal to Polaris, you really think the company cares. You act like your going to get a gold metal for being Polaris owners. I gave my opinion in the beginning of the post, you didn't like it and started stuff. So don't look at me look at your selves. And as far as my friend, well he is a great rider and only been doing sport for a year. He can ride as good as guys riding 7 years. So don't act like your so wonderfull because you can drive though a patch of mud. I've seen 12 years olds do that without a problem. If you think your getting on my nerves, think again, looks like i'm getting on yours though.
