Has anyone went to the new 2000 clutch cover? I have a '99 SP500 that needs a cover. Will the 2000 cover fit my '99 snorkel? Or do I need the whole set-up? I put the '99 cover and snorkel on a '98 and found the gas tanks slightly different. Thanx polcat

I picked up my 2000Sp500 last week and my snorkel from my 98 didn't fit right. It just took a few mods and it is completely waterproof now.

Congrats on your new wheeler! I knew that the '98 cover outlet was smaller than the '99. But I also knew that the 2000 is made of better material(supposedly) and since my '99 is warped again, I thought I might try the 2000 cover. Been reading your racing results too, congrats on those too! Keep the other brands at bay! LOL good luck Polcat

Piggy, I've built a "snake bite prevention kit" It consist of a little Taraus Plinker, and a case of CCI's! LOL. I shimmed my cover, I've got it where it's not rubbing at least for now. I'll probably go to the 2000 cover\back-plate set-up when this '99 melts down. later polcat
